It’s just that simple. But don’t just take it from us.
Here’s what everyone’s saying:
"We went with the split option because of our very different sleep preferences, and we are both sleeping like babies.
Jared & Regan
“The custom sides of our Helix leave us both feeling great from the moment we lay down until we begrudgingly crawl out of bed in the morning.”
Jeff & Julie
"The split mattress allows both my husband and me to experience our individual sleep styles without disturbing each other!"
Therese & Joe

Jane
Jane and Kristian just got married and need a new mattress. Kristian needs his mattress to be as firm as a table top, while Jane likes things more on the medium soft side. Jane never gets hot and Kristian is always hot. Jane is a back sleeper while Kristian is a side sleeper. She’s a petite 5’1” while he’s got a bulkier build and towers at 6’6”.
Unlike the competition, Helix can offer Jane and Kristian a Dual Comfort mattress
to begin them on marital sleep bliss.

After you understand your personal needs and preferences, we suggest you come up with a set game plan, otherwise you’ll get stuck in endless trial and error. The two most important factors are price and timeline. What’s your realistic budget and how long do you realistically want to be searching? This is an important purchase, but it shouldn’t be a full time job. Set a framework in place and stick to it.
In regards to price, it’s important to remember that higher price does not necessarily mean better quality. After substantial research, our team has found that there is typically a fairly direct increase in quality as price increases but only up to roughly the $1,000 price point for a Queen. Beyond that point, typically brands are just charging you more for the same materials or adding on extra features that sound nice, but in practice aren’t adding much to your sleep quality.
The #1 thing to remember is that you’re buying this mattress so you can get a great night’s sleep and not feel tired the next day, not for a specific material or sales gimmick. So before looking at any new mattress, it’s important to dig one step deeper about your needs and preferences. Your ideal mattress is different than the next person's ideal mattress. Your goal should be to begin searching for a new mattress with answers to these questions in mind, as it will immediately refine your search.
With your game plan in hand, it’s now time to search for your next mattress. Whether you are buying at a brick-and-mortar retail store or purchasing online, it is vital to remember that lying on a mattress for 5 minutes is an exceedingly poor test of whether the mattress is right to sleep on for the next 10 years. It’s basically deciding if you like a meal at a restaurant based on the bread and water. Through our research, we’ve found that it can take up to 2-3 weeks for someone to get used to their new mattress for a myriad of reasons. It’s one of the reasons we offer a 100 night sleep trial - it’s important to take your time and really test out a new bed.

for example...
I am 6'2” and weigh 200 lbs. I usually sleep on my side and hate how my current mattress gives me shoulder pain. I like the feel of something a bit plusher and I tend to get hot and sweat a lot at night.
